Downloading and importing the GAUL layer set and sample layers

For best use of the Workstation map feature, it is strongly recommended that you download and import the set of GAUL layers provided. You can also import the Kenya series of layers as a sample.

You can download the layers here. One .xml file should be downloaded and imported for each .zip file.

Once you have downloaded the files, simply copy them in the following directory and run the layer importer

For Windows:

  • [HOME DIRECTORY]\data\import\vector
  • Example: C:\GIEWS-Workstation\data\import\vector


For Linux:

  • /var/fenix/import/shp
